ABOUT
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I teach individuals and practitioners about holistic healing to facilitate their own healing paths and support their work with patients.
As a Medical Physician, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Writer and Teacher my focus is on teaching the art of science of healing.
As a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I spent nearly two decades devoted to Women’s Health. During that time, I embarked upon my own spiritual path which led me to learn all about different healing modalities, including Indiginous practices, Eastern medicine practices and Energy Healing frameworks. To fully realize the holistic healing framework that was emerging from my studies, I pivoted to the field of mental health and got my Masters of Arts in Counseling degree at Northwestern University and then became a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
As a licensed Physician and Mental Health Counselor with a background in spiritual study and practice, I have had the privilege of teaching mental health practitioners, physicians, nurses, and other healers about various aspects of healing. My unique background allowed me to also serve as a Clinical Lecturer of Psychopharmacology in the Master of Arts in Counseling Program at Northwestern University and as a Clinical Supervisor at Skylight Counseling Center. Additionally, I have offered workshops for continuing education credits for therapists on the subjects of Menopause & Mental Health and Breaking Patterns to foster healing.

HOW I got HERE:
I have always believed that we have incredible power to heal ourselves and to become healing forces in the world.
In many ways my fascination with healing began in childhood. When I was seven years old, I underwent a major surgery. I closely observed what was going on around me at that time. I watched my family, the nurses, doctors, and even the other patients. I learned at this very early age that so much was involved in healing! Interestingly, I remember being focused on what felt healing to me even as I was experiencing pain and trauma. Since then, I have been learning, practicing, and teaching the art and science of healing and wellness.
WHAT PAST COLLABORATORS are SAYING:
WHEN out of THE OFFICE:
I am above all else a seeker
❖ Nature and hiking:
I adore how nature reveals to us so much about ourselves. I feel most connected with myself when I am off in the woods on a hike. The peace and wisdom that reside in nature feel like home.
❖ SciFi:
Sci-Fi stories make me feel that anything is possible. After reading or watching a truly creative piece of Sci-Fi, you can visualize ways to live in a peaceful and loving world.
❖ Cooking:
While my cooking isn’t gourmet, I absolutely love listening and watching great chefs teach about cooking. I adore learning about different cultures through food, and it transports me to a feeling of connection and care.
❖ Books:
One of my biggest passions is being transported into an entirely new world through books. They often reflect ideas, culture, and identities that are different from my own. I’m always reading 2 or 3 books at any time. In the morning, I pick up something spiritual or educational, and in the evening, I often choose fiction.
