When I was seven years old, I underwent a major surgery. I closely observed what was going on around me at that time. I watched my family, the nurses, doctors and even the other patients. I learned at this very early age that there was so much involved in healing! Since that time, I have been learning, practicing and teaching the art and science of healing and wellness.
My journey towards understanding healing and wellness brought me initially to the study of Psychology and Gender Studies. I was absolutely fascinated with the field of neuropsychology which led me to the study of medicine. Women’s Health soon became my calling and I practiced Gynecology for nearly 20 years. Practicing medicine gave me the foundation needed to understand the human body. I noticed how closely the mind, mental health and the spiritual wellness of my patients affected their overall health. These various aspects of wellness are intertwined such that it is impossible to understand true health and wellness without assessing the entirety of a person.
In order to more fully learn about healing, I have studied the fields of Counseling, Spirituality, Energy Healing and Clairvoyance. Practicing as a Mental Health Counselor has sharpened my understanding of the human psyche. Over time, I have developed a way to assess individuals and groups utilizing all of these lenses to allow clients a comprehensive sense of how to move towards greater wellness.
Lastly, and very importantly, embedded in the counseling field is a responsibility toward social justice. Devotion to my own continuous learning about racialized trauma, inequities, and privilege, as well as a deep sense of cultural humility with my clients are paramount to my practice’s wellbeing. I intend for my work with clients and my writing to be a force against white supremacy and injustice.
Intuitive Counselor, Teacher,
Speaker and Women’s Workshops
As an Intuitive Counselor and Wellness Consultant, I assess the healing and wellness of individuals and teams of people and help to guide them towards wellness. Utilizing a holistic methodology, my clients (both individuals as well as teams) are guided towards feeling healthier in their lives and their work. Each person has a unique internal wisdom and my work is to support and help guide people towards their own healing intelligence. I also enjoy working with group leaders who need guidance on their team’s functioning such as personnel development, creativity and productivity and optimization of talent.
I lead Women’s Workshops to explore different aspects of healing and provide a supportive environment for individuals to connect on these subjects.
As a teacher and speaker, I offer speaking opportunities and individual or group sessions to teach various aspects of wellness. My teachings include, and are not limited to, neuropsychology (how stress affects our brains and bodies), energy healing (how to view life through an energetic lens) and the mind-body connection (somatic and emotional understandings of healing). Believe it or not, these very different aspects of wellness fit really well together!
